Charity of the Year

  • The London Book Fair Charity of the Year

The London Book Fair has supported many and varied book-related charities as long as the Fair has been running. The support takes many forms, from free-of-charge stands to promotion on the website and everything in between.

Previous spotlighted charities include The Kittiwake TrustWorldreader, First StoryBookTrust and Book Aid International.

Ahead of The London Book Fair 2019, we are looking for our next Charity of the Year.

Criteria: Any UK charity related to books, reading and the literacy-focused non-profit community.

Nominations have now closed. Stay tuned for an announcement about our 2019 Charity of the Year.

  • Our 2018 Charity of the Year – The Kittiwake Trust

The Kittiwake Trust's Multilingual Library benefits from the wide diversity of students and others living in Newcastle who are able to catalogue the books in all 81 languages while having a chance to work on their English at the same time.

The Trust's second programme, Borderline Books, donates books to police custody suites, prisons, individual prisoners, probation and groups supporting ex-prisoners.
