Rail Lines

By Elizabeth line

The Elizabeth line offers the quickest and most direct route to Excel London.

  • Travel directly from Paddington, Bond Street, Tottenham Court Road, Farringdon, Liverpool Street, Canary Wharf or Heathrow Airport.
  • Alight at Custom House station, which is directly connected to Excel London's West Entrance and just a short walk to The London Book Fair.

By Jubilee line & DLR

  • Travel on the Jubilee line to Canning Town station.
  • Change onto a Beckton-bound DLR service and alight at Custom House (for the West Entrance) or Prince Regent (for the East Entrance). Both stations are within a short walk of Excel London.

Air

London City Airport is the closest airport to Excel London, located less than a mile away, with flights to and from destinations across the UK and Europe.

Visitors travelling internationally can also fly into Heathrow Airport, which now offers a direct connection to Custom House via the Elizabeth line, providing one of the quickest and most convenient routes to Excel London without the need to change trains.

Alternatively, you can travel via any of London's other major airports—Gatwick, Stansted, Luton or Southend—and continue your journey to Excel London using London's extensive public transport network.

Arriving by Cable Car

For a more scenic route to Excel London, alight at North Greenwich Pier (for the O2) and take the London Cable Car across the river to Excel London.


Arriving by Bicycle

Excel London is located close to the cycle superhighway which runs from Barking to Tower Gateway (Route CS3). At the venue, there are 54 cycle racks at the East Entrance and 6 at the West Entrance.


Arriving by Taxi

If you wish to take a taxi to Excel London, it is easy to find metered taxis around the city. You can also use a ride-hailing app such as Uber to book a ride.

Taxi drop-off and pick-up point is located at the west end of the venue.

Accessible toilets

There are 40 accessible toilets located throughout the building for visitors with disabilities. You’ll find them near the Business Services Centre on Level 0, between Hall Entrances N4 and S4, at the ICC Conference Suites on Level 3, and near the restaurants and cafes on Levels 1 and 2. 

All accessible toilets within the venue are fitted with RADAR key-operated locks to help ensure they remain available for those who need them. If you do not have your own RADAR key, please speak to a member of the on-site Security team, who will be happy to assist you with access.

There is a map of accessible toilets with left-hand and right-hand transfer options across the venue. Please note: Opening hours may vary depending on the events taking place at the time of your visit.

Restaurants & Cafes at the Excel London

There's a fantastic choice of food and drink at the Excel London, from fresh sandwiches to juicy steaks, the lunch options are plentiful.

Top Tip: Pick up your lunch before or after the lunch time rush to beat the queues.

Visiting London

Whilst the City of London stands at just over a square mile, the London we know today is much larger, comprising of impressive historical sites such as The Tower of London, St. Paul's Cathedral and Westminster Abbey.

Visitors to London will find plenty to do, with a whole host of museums, parks, theaters, shops and restaurants, easily reachable by public transport.

With its fascinating history and abundance of things to see and do, London is the perfect city to explore during your time at The London Book Fair.
