Public Transport

If you are arriving on the DLR, then please alight at Prince Regent Station for The London Book Fair.

By DLR:

  • Get off at Prince Regent station (East Entrance).
  • Follow the signs to the venue.


 



 

Car

Excel London Orange Car Park

Planning on driving to Excel London?

The car park is available for pre-booked customers only during The London Book Fair. Please reserve your space ahead of your visit here or consider alternative car parks within easy reach of Excel London. Although there may be some disruption on public transport, check here to see if your journey will be affected.
 

Rail Lines

By Elizabeth Line:

  • Travel directly from Paddington or London Heathrow.
  • The train stops at Liverpool Street and Canary Wharf.
  • This is the quickest route from the city center.

By Jubilee Line and alight at Prince Regent station for The London Book Fair:

  • Get off at Canning Town Station.
  • Transfer to a Beckton-bound DLR train to reach Excel London.

Air

London City Airport is the closest airport at less than a mile to Excel London and has flights to and from Europe and beyond.

It is also possible to fly to any of London’s other five airports and continue your journey onward to Excel London by public transport.

Arriving by Tube and Rail

If you are arriving on the DLR then please alight at Prince Regent Station for The London Book Fair.

By Jubilee Line and alight at Prince Regent station:

  • Get off at Canning Town Station.
  • Transfer to a Beckton-bound DLR train to reach Excel London.

By Elizabeth Line:

  • Travel directly from Paddington or London Heathrow.
  • The train stops at Liverpool Street and Canary Wharf.
  • This is the quickest route from the city center.

By DLR:

  • Get off at Prince Regent station (East Entrance).
  • Follow the signs to the venue.

  • Check timetables with your rail provider.
  • Use the TfL Journey Planner for the best route to Excel London.

Arriving by Boat

Enjoy a different view of London from the river on your journey to Excel London. Take an Uber Boat by Thames Clippers (services run every 20 minutes) from one of the main London piers. Alight at Royal Wharf Pier and walk 20 minutes through Britannia Village and over the Royal Victoria dock footbridge to get to the venue's west entrance. Alternatively, you may take Bus 241 and alight at Prince Regent. 


Arriving by Cable Car

For a more scenic route to Excel London, alight at North Greenwich Pier (for the O2) and take the Emirates Airline Cable Car across the river to Excel London.


Arriving by Bicycle

Excel London is located close to the cycle superhighway which runs from Barking to Tower Gateway (Route CS3). At the venue, there are 54 cycle racks at the East Entrance and 6 at the West Entrance.


Arriving by Taxi

If you wish to take a taxi to Excel London, it is easy to find metered taxis around the city. You can also use a ride-hailing app such as Uber to book a ride.

Taxi drop-off and pick-up point is located at the west end of the venue.

Restaurants & Cafes at the Excel London

There's a fantastic choice of food and drink at the Excel London, from fresh sandwiches to juicy steaks, the lunch options are plentiful.

Top Tip: Pick up your lunch before or after the lunch time rush to beat the queues.

Visiting London

Whist the City of London stands at just over a square mile, the London we know today is much larger, comprising of impressive historical sites such as The Tower of London, St. Paul's Cathedral and Westminster Abbey.

Visitors to London will find plenty to do, with a whole host of museums, parks, theaters, shops and restaurants, easily reachable by public transport.

With its fascinating history and abundance of things to see and do, London is the perfect city to explore during your time at The London Book Fair.
