  • Abiola Bello, The Author School and Hashtag Press

    Abi is a trailblazer for diversity in fiction and spends her days supporting and nurturing author talent. She is the co-founder of The Author School, supported by Virgin StartUps, which provides honest, supportive, realistic and helpful advice for authors at all levels. She’s also co-founder of Hashtag Press, an indie press approved by IPG. Finally, she’s the author of the first YA books that promote strong lead female characters and diversity – way ahead of the curve. A GB Entrepreneur of the Year Award finalist and all round publishing superstar!

     

  • Anna Cunnane, Abrams & Chronicle Book Ltd

    Anna is described as someone who has initiative and professionalism. A problem solver with a determination to get things right, she’s data savvy and has identified this as an part of the industry that is increasingly important for publishers and for book sales, and is impressively carving out a niche for herself in this area.


  • Katie Seaman, Ebury Press

    While an editorial assistant at Orion ,Katie made her first acquisition after approaching a potential writer, working with them from development to publication. Her innovative strategy launched Hot Mess as breakout success in the crowded area of commercial women’s fiction, introducing a new relatable voice to millennials and selling 30,000 copies.

  • Natalie Shaw, Granta

    Described as a force of nature within the industry as well as ambitious, inspiring and largely self-taught, Natalie has been solely responsible for many of her company's most successful digital marketing campaigns, many of which have been 'firsts'. Her above-and-beyond achievements include a publishing-wide campaign for LGBT literature around Pride 2017, and a charity publishing netball tournament.

  • Phoebe Morgan, HarperCollins

    Phoebe was recently promoted to Commissioning Editor at Avon due to her stellar publishing, and she's been made International Champion, looking for opportunities to grow sales across the globe.

    Her debut novel was published in 2017 to phenomenal success: she therefore embodies the passion, drive and dedication a Trailblazer needs.
