In this non-technical seminar, we will give a high level, comprehensive explanation of what blockchain technology is, breaking down its basic components and distinguishing it from cryptocurrency.

 

With tangible examples and concrete applications, we will showcase the usages and benefits for the publishing industry. From automated royalty distribution to piracy and hacking, we’ll explore how the technology can increase the security of digital files and improve the transparency of ebook distribution. We’ll also discuss its impact on the way digital content is shared, transferred and consumed.

 

With the help of our online platform, Bookchain®, we will highlight how blockchain can be used to shape new business models, enable fresh marketing strategies and create additional revenu streams for both indie authors and publishers.

 

No prior blockchain knowledge is needed and we promise to keep it simple.
