Picture book illustration is a universal language with top illustrators selling millions of copies internationally. The Klaus Flugge Prize, set up in honour of influential publisher Klaus Flugge of Andersen Press, celebrates new picture book talent and in this special session an expert panel of industry professionals, chaired by critic and Klaus Flugge Prize chair of judges Julia Eccleshare, will spotlight current trends in picture book illustration, what is exciting the market at the moment, as well as what characterises the enduring best in illustration. Discover what publishers across the world are looking for and what to watch out for in the year ahead. Klaus Flugge himself will be a special guest in the audience.
