COVER MEETING: An Insight into the Cover Design Process

COVER MEETING: An Insight into the Cover Design Process

13 Mar 2019, 14:30 - 15:30

Olympia Room, Grand Hall
Language:
English

Designers Ceara, Jack and Nico used to work together and after hosting two sell-out ‘Killed Covers’ evenings at St Bride Library, the old workmates will be curating a newly created event at The London Book Fair looking at the challenges faced when designing book covers.

Cover design can play a vital role in the success of a book and with the help of a selection of industry panellists, alongside some real briefs, they will be looking at how the decisions leading to the creation of the final cover are made.

The event will be inclusive and is aimed at all who are interested in the cover design process; from editor’s looking to brief their latest acquisitions, authors hoping to gain behind-the-scenes insight or generally, anybody who has hoped to attend the cover meeting. There might be a small element of interaction involved too.
