How streaming audiobooks became a lucrative and insightful business model for German Audiobook Publishers.

Initially earning their stripes in the music distribution industry, digital distributor Zebralution created a new audiobook market in Germany by distributing audiobooks to music-focused streaming services. They currently hold the extensive catalogues of all major publishers, generating a 7-digit revenue figure for their established German clients with millions of daily streams. And most recently are making great strides into the English Language market.

But how does the streaming business model really contribute to the German publishing market? Apart from additional revenue, what insights does it give into audiences? What are the benefits?

We put your questions to Margot Kaiser, head of rights and licensing at Holtzbrinck's Argon Verlag, and gain a closer look into distributing to streaming platforms as experienced by publishers. From the initial hurdles with agents to increasing business and marketing efficiencies and gaining audience insights through data analytics.

Most importantly, we would like you the set the agenda for this session and to help us do that, we need your questions. Email them to carla.herbertson@zebralution.com (subject: LBF Questions) or submit your question in person at the Zebralution stand 7J40, Hall 7.
