A discussion led by children’s writer and critic Mary Hoffman and Kate Pool, Deputy Chief Executive of the SoA.  Mary is the author of over 120 titles from picture books to adult novels, and Kate is a core member of the SoA’s contracts advisory team with a wealth of experience dealing with contracts and advising authors. Between them they’ve too often heard reports from writers about what can go wrong if you’re not careful.  They will explore common contract pitfalls and to give top tips on what should be in your contract, and what you must make sure to avoid to secure your rights.
