Vertebrate Publishing is a Sheffield-based independent publisher of outdoor adventure narratives and guides. We aim to inspire readers of all ages to get outside and enjoy the natural world. We are the UK's largest publisher of mountaineering narratives, publishing both new books and revitalising classic titles; and the fourth biggest publisher of cycling books with a range of guides to the best road and traffic-free cycling in Britain. We also produce a range of pocket-sized mountain biking, running and walking guides, climbing guides, photography and wildlife books and fiction and non-fiction for children under our Shrine Bell imprint.
