Spotlight on India

  • A special Spotlight on India series of events will be taking place at the 2017 edition of the Fair.

The series coincides with the British Council’s India Year of Culture 2017 initiative, which will see an exciting festival of events take place to celebrate the country’s vibrant culture and history. A year long-programme to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Indian independence and UK cultural ties was announced by the Prime Ministers of both India and the UK during Prime Minister Modi's visit to the UK in 2016.

The London Book Fair will be working with the Indian government’s export trade body Capexil to stage an exhibiting presence over three pavilions for nearly 40 exhibitors.

There are four pavilions dedicated to the Spotlight on India programme at The London Book Fair, with Capexil the main stand holder.
