Promoting literature in translation is full of challenges – but what about ideas that actually work? Join us as we look at specific examples by three publishers with very different approaches. What strategies have been successful for promoting international literature, what new ideas are out there, and what role can funding play? Erica Jarnes (Poetry Translation Centre) chairs a discussion with Molly Slight (Scribe Books) and Sarah Cleave (Comma Press). This event also marks the launch of a report by English PEN on the impact of its flagship PEN Promotes programme.
