New trends and new products in digital publishing in China and UK
Sponsors: General Administration of Press and Publication of China and London Book Fair
Organizers: China National Publications Import & Export (Group) Corporation and London Book Fair
Digitisation has been the major challenge and opportunity facing traditional publishers in China and the United Kingdom for the past five years. We are now entering a new phase in which publishers have embraced the new technologies in educational, scientific, and general publishing and are not only reproducing print content in digital form, but creating stand-alone titles in digital formats for the new media. In this seminar publishers will share evolving business models and show innovative new digital releases which show how publishers are approaching their new markets
This forum comprises two parts. Part 1 will consist of a China and UK keynote speech by a major industry figure, and in Part 2 three presenters from each country will be invited to make introduce digital developments in the industry and in their company followed by a screen based showcase of a leading product.
