The impact of emerging business models for online distribution is disrupting existing relationships between authors, publishers and agents. It offers 'direct to market' opportunities, the emergence of new players and the role of social media to directly engage the audience. This disruption is triggering change to copyright law, traditional contracts and business relationships in the industry. We will examine these changes in the session and discuss the right business models to choose for publishing in the 21st century.
