Britain’s leading publisher of romance novels is paving the way for a profitable February 14th by debuting a number of e-book shorts.

Mills and Boon will e-release a variety of romantic shorts on Valentine’s Day for readers hoping to get into the mood on the international day of love.

This is part of a wider plan being launched by M&B, which will see it publish an increasing number of e-book shorts at regular intervals in the future.

Harlequin digital and marketing director Tim Cooper said: “We just want to find a way of getting our content our there to readers, and it’s an easy entry point; they are enjoyable little bite-size pieces of content,” theBookseller.com quoted.

Among the shorts set to be digitally published is Nina Harrington’s The Ordinary King, which has only been available in an anthology up to this point.

M&B will publish six other titles as part of the Valentine’s series, with each priced at £1.99.
