    We would be delighted to receive your application for The Bookstore of the Year Award sponsored by Gardners Books Ltd. Please complete the form below either to:

    A) nominate a third party organisation, OR
    B) enter your own organisation.

    Remember that you are aiming to convince the judging panel, and make a clear case for your nomination/submission.

    Gardners Books Ltd. is delighted to offer the following prizes for the three shortlisted finalists:

    • £500 travel bursary per shortlisted company in order to attend LBF
    • The overall winner will receive £1,000 rrp of books or entertainment products donated by Gardners
    • Gardners will host a visit to Eastbourne for all shortlisted finalists

     

    Criteria:  The judges will be looking for excellence in a range of areas, including customer service, staff knowledge, events, display, outreach, atmosphere, innovation, imagination, incorporation of digital, style and flare.

    Who is eligible:  Independents or chain branches whose primary business is outside the UK.  Nominees do not have to be English language booksellers – though these are welcome too – and there is no stipulation regarding turnover.  Business viability will be recognised and entries from more remote locations are encouraged.

    The submissions deadline is Thursday 15th December 2016.

    The shortlisted companies will be notified in March, and the winner announced at The Annual Awards Ceremony on Tuesday 14th March 2017, at Olympia Conference Centre, London.
