Jenny Niven is Head of Literature, Languages and Publishing at Scotland’s national funding and development agency, Creative Scotland. She was Acting Director of Edinburgh International Book Festival over the winter months of 16/17. Before returning to Scotland Jenny was formerly Associate Director at the Wheeler Centre for Books, Writing and Ideas in Melbourne, and Program Manager of the Melbourne Writers Festival. From 2004–2009 she lived in Beijing, where she was inaugural director of the ground-breaking festival and literary events program, The Bookworm International Literary Festival.
