Agent One-to-Ones

  • Agent One-to-Ones

Our Agent One-to-One meetings take place across the three days of the Fair, with authors having an invaluable opportunity to talk directly to an agent from a leading literary agency about their books, seek advice about any stage of the writing process, and receive direct feedback on pitches and ideas.

    One-to-One sessions are:

    • 10 minutes long
    • Strictly by appointment only
    • Confirmed in advance of the Fair
    • NOT available on the day
    • Include literary agents from Peters Fraser Dunlop, Conville & Walsh Literary Agency, Sheil Land Associates and Janklow & Nesbit

To ensure the best match between author and agent, we ask submissions contain the genre of the authors’ book in the subject heading of their email, either:

    • Crime/Thriller
    • Women’s Fiction
    • Commercial Fiction
    • Literary Fiction
    • Children’s/YA
    • Non-fiction
    • SF/Fantasy
    • Other

    Applications Closed.

    • I just got back to Australia. The session was great and Claire Wilson was a fantastic source of much needed info and direction. Thank you so much for the opportunity! I must say the London Book Fair is the place to be for any emerging writer. Especially for those (like myself) who have no clue about what they are doing. Thanks again. Yours in eternal gratitude.

    • I just wanted to tell you that I really enjoyed my agent meeting. I expected to get some pointers but left with a request for the full manuscript! Couldn't be better.

      • Mel Melcer (met with Carrie Plitt, Conville & Walsh)
    • It was very encouraging to be picked to speak with and get feedback from an agent. These interactive and proactive opportunities are the purpose of attending The London Book Fair, personally. I was very impressed with how smoothly everything was run given the number of people needing to be coordinated.

    • Thank you so much for selecting me and giving me the opportunity to meet with Ian. It went very well. He had nothing but praise for the writing and interest in the story. He’s asked me to make just one editorial change to the submission, and then send the whole book. I’m currently working on making the change, and it is a good, astute observation from him and will benefit the story. So, very positive! I will keep you updated as to my progress. Fingers crossed!!!
